Decompensation, 2009/2014 is part of a continued investigation of digitization,
indexicality, photocollage, and aura. Begun in 2009 during the
height of the Great Recession, this work anthropomorphizes New York City, more
specifically Wall Street, during a time of great American financial upheaval. Viewing
Lower Manhattan from the slightly removed perspective of the Brooklyn Bridge,
Decompensation, 2009/2014 teases out intrigue and darkness at a pivotal moment in
America’s history.  Each print is exposed by hand, and no two prints are identical.
